Welcome to our blog!

As you can see, we’ve made some changes to our website, our logo and presently, our visibility in the community. Going forward, we will share with you thought-provoking insights from community guests that are very relevant to the ways in which the work we do enriches the GTA.   We welcome your feedback and suggestions.

As Chair of the Furniture Bank’s Board, I have seen the impact that we have on the lives of the participants in our programs and services.    I encourage you to get to know us better, and share your views about Furniture Bank and the work we do here in our blog.

“What if I should discover that the poorest of the beggars and the most impudent of offenders are all within me; and that I stand in need of the alms of my own kindness, that I, myself, am the enemy who must be loved — what then?” -  Carl Jung

Think about it …. what if you needed help?  Sadly, it’s not that farfetched an idea.  It happens all the time to people just like me and you.

Question:  What can you do now to help those in your community to have a safe and healthy home?

Many of our “clients” succeed and work hard to overcome their challenges.  We play a small part and it is more than enough payback for the hard work of our staff and volunteers when we hear from just one, … and we hear from many!

Question:  Tell us about your experience with the Furniture Bank.

Warm regards,
Gerry
